I was first introduced to 3D printing over 10 years ago in 2015 in my high school engineering and robotics classes. Back then, a part of our course curriculum was to use Auto Desk Inventor and Auto CAD to design parts for engineering projects and other small items like tops and polygons. I took it a step further and designed my own prints for a headphone hanger for under my desk and a Nintendo 3DS charging dock.
Back then, 3D printing was not as accessible as it is now. Designing parts, getting them printed without an issue and then clearing support material with an acid wash was a multi day process, but it was rewarding and I enjoyed the process. I had thought about going into CAD and product design as a career for a little while but enjoyed coding more than 3D modeling.
Fast forward over 10 years later, I recently just bought a Bambu A1 after seeing Daniel get one and talk about it. His enthusiasm reignited my interest and passion and I purchased a 3D printer to start tinkering with again. Below are some of the creations I have printed so far!
